Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 9, 2026.
The Resort Edit (https://theresortedit.com) participates in several affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn a small commission when you click on certain links on this site and make a purchase. This costs you nothing extra — it doesn't change the price you pay.
Programs we participate in
We're members of (or applying to) the following affiliate networks and programs:
- CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction) — including Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts
- Honeymoon Wishes Registry
- Travelpayouts — including Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak, Skyscanner, and others
- Various direct affiliate programs with individual resorts and travel brands
How affiliate links appear on this site
Affiliate links may appear in the body of our reviews, in comparison tables, in "book now" buttons, and occasionally in the sidebar or footer. We don't always mark every individual link as affiliate (it would clutter the writing), but we follow these rules:
- Every page that contains affiliate links displays an affiliate disclosure notice at or near the top.
- This sitewide disclosure page is linked from every footer.
- If a piece of content contains no affiliate links, we mark it as such in the post header.
How we maintain editorial independence
Our affiliate relationships do not determine which resorts we recommend, what we say about them, or how we rank them. Specifically:
- We have recommended resorts that pay us nothing.
- We have declined to recommend resorts that pay us better, when we believe the property doesn't deserve the recommendation.
- We never accept payment for a positive review.
- We never publish "sponsored content" disguised as editorial.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising," 16 C.F.R. § 255. By using this site, you agree to the terms in our Privacy Policy.
