About The Resort Edit
We're a small editorial team that exists for one reason: travel coverage of all-inclusive resorts and honeymoon destinations had gotten lazy. We're trying to fix that.
Why we started this
The big travel sites recycle the same lists. Resort brands write their own glowing copy. Tripadvisor reviews are useful but noisy. There wasn't a single source you could trust to say "this resort is overrated, that one is the actual sleeper hit."
We started The Resort Edit to be that source.
How we work
Every review on this site is built from a layered process:
- Multiple sources. We cross-check resort details against the brand site, official guides, and at least three independent recent guest reviews.
- Real comparisons. When we say a resort is better than another, we tell you exactly why, with specifics — pool count, food quality, suite layout, beach access, the things that actually differ.
- Honest verdicts. If a resort isn't worth its asking price, we'll say so. The point of this site is to save you a bad booking, not to push every property.
- Updated regularly. Resorts change — renovations, ownership changes, food upgrades and downgrades. We update reviews when we see meaningful shifts.
How we make money
Some of the links in our reviews are affiliate links. If you book through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's how we keep the lights on without running intrusive ad walls.
Affiliate relationships never determine our verdicts. We've chosen not to recommend specific resorts that pay us better, and we've recommended properties that pay us nothing. Read our full affiliate disclosure.
